Job summary

Security Services Northwest, Inc. is hiring for an Oregon Unarmed Flex Officer in Klamath Falls. This part-time position features no weekends or holidays and requires a current Oregon unarmed security license, a clean criminal record, and a valid driver’s license.

Duties include patrolling, access control, escorts, and reporting, with a pay rate of $30.00 per hour. Benefits include health and vision insurance plus EAP.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon State Unarmed Security Guard License.
• Must have a clean criminal record and driving record.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• 2-4 years of combined experience (Military, Law Enforcement).
• EMT background is a huge plus.
• Smartphone to access scheduling and clocking apps.
• Must be okay with working on-call.
• Reliable transportation.
• Honesty and integrity.
• Ability to react appropriately in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents.
• Monitor activities.
• Access control.
• Safety escorts.
• Using provided communication devices.
• Represent SSNW’s brand.
• Wear the issued uniform properly.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR).
• Work with local law enforcement and emergency services.
• Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following procedures.
• Other duties as described in the Post Orders.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Current Oregon State Unarmed Security Guard License

• 2-4 years of combined experience (Military, Law Enforcement)
• EMT Background a huge plus
• Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting
• Must be ok with working on- call
• Reliable transportation
• Honesty and Integrity
• Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Knowledge of security protocols, and equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols
• Able to stand 8-12 hours a day
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)
