Job description

6:00PM START TIME, 4 days + Mandatory Overtime, closed on Saturdays.

Who are we looking for?

• Willing to train the right candidate for this role but if you have at least 1yr warehouse experience with electric pallet jack and order selecting (or material handler) we want to meet you!
• Must be ok with working in fridge and freezer (from 32 to -10 degrees)
• Work week is 4 DAYS ON + MANDATORY OVERTIME.
• Sundays are MANDATORY.
• Saturdays are always OFF!
• Physical ability to handle constant lifting of 90+lbs.
• NEW STARTING Pay Rate: $22.25/hr. + FT Benefits & Incentive Pay, and Night Premium ONLY for PM Starts
• Weekly pay - every Friday!

Position Overview

Order selectors are responsible for understanding the equipment they use, selecting items in the warehouse, pallet building, productivity measures, and safety procedures.

Experience (Required)

• Minimum one year warehouse experience
• Minimum one year experience with electric pallet jack, rider pallet jack, or similar
• Minimum one year experience with order selecting (or material handler)
• Good judgment is required as supervision may not always be immediate.

Job Responsibilities And Basic Duties

• Operate double pallet jacks throughout the warehouse.
• Select cases and apply pick labels.
• Obtain work assignments.
• Work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Stack cases onto pallets.
• Inspect equipment and complete inspection checklists.
• Clean work area.

Performance Measurements

• During the first 30 days after orientation, expect to work less than 40 hours/week to allow training and acclimation. Hours may increase as performance standards are met.
• Complete selector functions according to company standards, including quality and safety regulations.
• Maintain effective communication with personnel and management.
• Meet deadlines.

Skills/Abilities

• Understanding of safety guidelines and RF system functions is ideal.
• Ability to meet minimum selection rate for the department.
• Close attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 90+ pounds continuously.
• Follow selecting procedures and verbal instructions accurately.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions.
• Handle problems involving standardized variables.
• Read and understand simple instructions, memos, and correspondence.
• Write simple correspondence.
