Job summary

Connection is seeking an Order Selector with forklift experience to accurately pick items for customer orders and ensure on-time shipping. You'll operate powered forklifts, audit orders, and pack items for dispatch in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The role requires basic computer skills, RF scanning proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while complying with safety practices.

Working under the direct supervision of the Shipping Supervisor, the Order Selector Forklift efficiently and accurately selects ordered items using powered forklift trucks. The specialized Order Selector audits, processes and packs for shipping customer orders according to company policies and department procedures. This position is 1:30pm - 10pm Monday - Friday.

Where applicable, this position assures departmental processes are performed in compliance with applicable Sarbanes-Oxley controls.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and selects products for customer orders using various powered forklift trucks.
• Meets shipping deadlines
• Consolidates workload to efficiently deliver goods to desired location.
• Assembles multiple cartons onto a pallet, secures the goods to the pallet and applies required documentation for LTL shipments.
• Performs all other duties or special projects as assigned.

Attendance

Employees are required to be present at the approved work location in order to perform the functions of this position.

Requirements

• Basic computer knowledge with ability to operate keyboard for data entry.
• Proficient with in house computer applications, Radio Frequency and Scanning equipment
• Attention to detail in picking, processing, keying, and handling customer orders
• Basic math aptitude
• Good reading comprehension with ability to follow written directions
• Knowledgeable of good safety practices
• Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation to take on additional tasks.
• Good listening skills with ability to receive information completely and understand what is being said
• Articulate with ability to communicate effectively with co workers
• Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities
