Job summary

Carolina Premium Beverage is seeking an Order Selector to efficiently and safely select orders in our warehouse. This role requires precise order picking and stacking, as well as operating warehouse equipment like forklifts. Ideal candidates will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A high school diploma is preferred but not required, and experience in a similar environment is a plus.

Summary

The primary purpose of the Warehouse Order Selector is to be able to quickly, efficiently, accurately and safely select all orders, build pallets for delivery with minimal errors and/or product damage.

  • Accurately select orders using Easy Pick system and slot locations and label pallets correctly.
  • Stack product on pallets in a stable configuration to enable quick and accurate check in at retail.
  • Correct errors as identified by weight variance.
  • Check all product for damages to ensure no unsalable product is delivered in the market.
  • Add close date product to orders following correct process.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment including, but not limited to forklift, baler, sweeper/scrubber, electric jack, wrapper, glue gun and manual pallet jack.
  • Participate in clean-up as well as general maintenance duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager and/or Supervisor.
  • Meet company productivity standards.
  • Meet company order accuracy standards.
  • Meet company maximum breakage/product damage standards.
  • Notify Replenishment of product needs to avoid out of stocks.
  • Obey all Federal, State, and local laws.
  • Follow all company safety rules and practices
  • Ability to handle equipment safely and sensibly and take responsibility for ensuring the safety of other employees.
  • Always adhere to dress code and be properly attired and groomed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Knowledge And/Or Experience

Requires common intelligence such as the ability to use simple gauges or instruments that require no interpretation. Must follow oral instructions and occasionally use simple writing or arithmetic skills. High School Diploma desired, but not required; up to and including three months related experience or training desired.

INITIATIVE AND INGENUITY

Requires the use of some judgment to follow instructions, using simple equipment in performing duties where the employee is told what to do and has little or no input as to the procedures used in achieving results.

MENTAL / VISUAL / AUDITORY DEMAND

Continuous mental and visual attention, where the flow of work is intermittent or the operation involves waiting for a machine or process to complete a cycle, with intermittent checking involved. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR EQUIPMENT OR PROCESS

Limited- makes minor adjustments to equipment. Damages are unlikely under normal use and care.

RESONSIBILITY FOR MATERIAL OR PRODUCT

Works with materials where errors usually would be detected and could be reworked without major loss of materials.

Responsibility For Safety Of Others

Inattention, thoughtlessness or careless operation of equipment or performance of duties may cause lost-time injury to others such as crushed hand or foot, loss of fingers or toes, eye injuries, etc.
