Job summary

General Produce Company, LLC, based in Sacramento, is seeking an Order Selector to join our warehouse team. This entry-level role offers a 4‑day workweek with a 3:00 PM start, in a refrigerated facility serving Northern & Central California.

You will read orders, assemble, label, and prepare pallets for shipping, while ensuring quality and accuracy. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid leave, holidays, and employee programs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 1 year of experience in produce, warehouse, order selection, or material handling preferred.
• Ability to learn and safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material transport equipment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety and accuracy in all tasks.
• Teamwork and collaboration to meet operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Full time, 4 days/week, 3PM start time, overtime required.
• Read and assemble customer orders accurately and place completed selections onto pallets for shipping.
• Inspect products to ensure quality and freshness.
• Label orders, materials, and products with identifying information or labels as required.
• Weigh or count items for distribution to confirm accuracy against customer orders.
• Safely move products using handcarts, pallet jacks, and forklifts between storage, production, and dock areas.
• Sort and store products on racks, bins, and pallets according to size, type, grade, ripeness, or product code.

Key Order Selector Job Responsibilities
