Job summary

GENERAL PRODUCE DISTRIBUTION COMPANY, LLC in Sacramento, CA, is seeking an Order Selector for a full-time swing-shift role. The position starts at 3 PM and includes overtime as needed.

You will read and assemble orders, inspect products for quality and freshness, label items, and ensure accurate distribution. Forklift and pallet jack operations are part of daily duties in a refrigerated warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse environment and order selection.
• Ability to learn and safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material transport equipment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment to meet operational goals and maintain productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Full time, 4 days/week, 3PM start time, overtime required.
• Read and assemble customer orders accurately and place completed selections onto pallets for shipping.
• Inspect products to ensure all items meet company standards for quality and freshness.
• Mark orders, materials, and products with identifying information or labels as required.
• Weigh or count items for distribution to confirm accuracy against customer orders.
• Safely move products using handcarts, pallet jacks, and forklifts between storage, production, and dock areas.
• Sort and store products on racks, bins, and pallets according to size, type, grade, ripeness, or product code.

Key Order Selector Job Responsibilities

• Work Ethic and Reliability: Must demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety and accuracy in all tasks.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment to meet operational goals and maintain productivity standards.
