Overview

The Order Selector is responsible for the accurate storing, shipping, and receiving of products to meet company standards related to safety, security, sanitation, and productivity. Other general warehouse duties may be required from time to time.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads freight efficiently and safely.
• Moves products to storage areas with proper equipment and stacks and stores merchandise appropriately.
• Picks orders for shipment and assembles various types of merchandise for shipment.
• Processes orders including picking, checking, sorting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and shipment confirmation.
• Operates material handling equipment safely and efficiently, as required.
• Checks and verifies freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assists in maintaining warehouse security.
• Promotes safety during operations.
• Performs sanitation functions as needed.
• Assists in physical inventories as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk for 10-12 hours.
• Ability to lift and/or pull 50 lbs without restriction.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching below the waist and above the head.
• Frequent walking in the facility, which is over a quarter mile in length.
• Ability to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting, and temperature, and access all areas of the building.
• Availability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Attention to detail.
