Job summary

Rexel USA in Woodridge, IL is seeking an Order Picker to join our warehouse team. You will pick customer orders and internal transfers, operate a standard or stand-up forklift, and use a handheld scanner to ensure accuracy and timely processing of shipments.

You will follow picking tickets, confirm shipping methods, and hand off picked orders to shipping or will call staff while maintaining safety, organization, and adherence to company policies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year warehouse experience is preferred.
• Must be able to read/write English and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Pick customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Determine if orders can ship via the indicated picking ticket and resolve mismatches.
• Provide picked orders to shipping or will-call for outbound processing.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with daily cleanup and organization.

We are looking for an Order Picker to join our Talley team in Woodridge, IL!

Summary:
The Order Picker function is an advanced position within the Operations department. In this role, you will be responsible for picking customer orders and internal material transfers in accordance with Talley's established procedures, work instructions, and customer-specific requirements. Your depth of previous experience in this occupation carries with it an expectation that you will be able to perform all duties listed below with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

What You'll Do:

• Promote a positive working environment based on team dynamics, mutual respect, and adherence to the organization’s stated principles and values
• Pick customer orders, of all types, accurately, and in a timely manner
• Determine if orders can ship via the manner indicated on the picking ticket and take the necessary actions to resolve incompatible shipping methods
• Provide picked orders to the shipping team / will call support for outbound processing
• Demonstrate and apply analytic problem-solving skills to resolve day-to-day inventory issues that impact order-picking processes
• Participate in daily cleaning and upkeep of the facility
• Displays strong work ethic and honesty and adheres to all company policies and procedures
• Engages in work with a high sense of urgency, highly organized and detail-oriented
• Be open to change and deal calmly and effectively with high-stress situations

• Must be able to operate a standard and stand-up forklift
• Required to be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to bend and reach overhead
• Must be able to work under deadline pressure as organizational skills are the key to finding and providing merchandise quickly and accurately for customer orders
• Experience using a handheld scanner
• Ability to read and write in English. Basic math skills.
• Customer Service skills a plus
