Job summary

The Hillman Group is seeking an Order Picker I for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM - 11:45 PM) in our California facility. You will pick and pack customer orders in a high-volume zone, using a handheld RF scanner to ensure accuracy and productivity.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include meeting daily productivity targets, maintaining quality, conserving resources, and keeping a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Experience with RF scanners preferred.
• Related experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Position: Order Picker I

Schedule:2 nd Shift - Monday - Friday - 3:00 PM - 11:45 PM (based on business needs and job completions which could include overtime both during the week and on weekends)

Picks and packs customer orders in a high-volume zone picking station; maintains established productivity and accuracy standards.

Essential Job Functions *

• Uses a hand scanner to determine order requirements
• Pulls the correct product from the stock area and packs it into the appropriate boxes
• Meets required daily productivity standards for lines picked per hour
• Ensure that work meets quality standards
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to the manager
• Maintains a current knowledge of operating procedures and company products
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment

Order Processor: Fast paced, standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Near vision required.
