Job description

Position Description

Performs a variety of warehouse duties related to shipping and receiving, including packing, pulling/checking customer orders, replenishment, shipping, computer operation, scanning equipment, and material handling. Supports the incoming and outgoing of materials, including preparing and maintaining any required documents.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Selects, prepares, and packs parts for shipment using the appropriate shipping method. Handles all related paperwork, recording or verifying pertinent information for domestic or international shipments.
  2. Determines the method of shipment, utilizing required shipping software, and knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  3. Processes reports related to shipping, including work orders, packing lists, pick lists, bills of lading, customer pick tickets, and related documentation.
  4. Audits shipments before loading onto trucks, verifying the load against customer orders. Ensures that all transactions are entered into the system.
  5. May assist in maintaining inventory accuracy by investigating and correcting variances through cycle counting.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to become forklift certified and operate a forklift.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret all documents required for shipping processes.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency with shipping software such as UPS.
  • Fluent in English and the primary language used in the area of responsibility and/or location.

Physical & Environmental Requirements
Some physical demand; often lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material, may be required to lift up to 70 lbs.
Generally good working conditions.
Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling, and reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
Job rotation may be required where applicable.
