Job description

Performs a variety of warehouse duties related to shipping and receiving including packing, pulling/checking customer orders, replenishment, shipping, computer operation, scanning equipment, and material handling. Supports the incoming and outgoing of materials, including preparing and/or maintaining any required documents.

Job Responsibilities
  • Selects, prepares, and packs parts for shipment utilizing the appropriate shipping method. Handles all related paperwork or documents, recording or verifying pertinent information for domestic or international shipping.
  • Determines method of shipment, utilizing required shipping software, and knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Processes reports related to shipping including work orders, packing lists, pick lists, bills of lading, customer pick tickets, and related information.
  • Audits shipments prior to loading the truck verifying the load against the customer order. Ensures that all transactions have been entered in the system.
  • May assist in ensuring inventory accuracy by investigating and correcting variances through cycle counting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to become forklift certified & operate forklift.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret all documents required for shipping processes.
  • Computer skills including ability to use shipping software such as UPS.
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Some physical demand; often lifting/moving average weight (25-50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material, may be required to lift up to 70lbs.

Generally good working conditions.

Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours).

Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).

Job rotation may be required, where applicable.
