Job Description

As a vital part of our team, the Order Picker works closely with inventory managers and logistics personnel, as well as with customers, to fulfill daily order requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels. The individual in this role must possess a keen attention to detail, handling various products and packaging them correctly for purchase. Professionalism is key. This role requires physical stamina for repetitive tasks and a strong commitment to safety standards. Successful Order Pickers contribute significantly to our operations' productivity and success, helping meet customer demands and improve service delivery.

Responsibilities

1. Utilize hand-held devices or RF scanners to identify and track inventory.
2. Verify product quantities and inspect for damages before packing.
3. Maintain organization of the stock area to improve efficiency.
4. Adhere to safety policies and procedures while operating machinery.
5. Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals.
6. Participate in regular inventory counts and stock checks.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment.
8. Report discrepancies or inventory issues to supervisors promptly.
9. Communicate effectively with team members regarding order updates and delays.
10. Stay informed about company policies, best practices, and changes related to order picking and inventory management.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
3. Basic math skills for counting and verifying inventory.
4. Willingness to undergo a background check.
5. Strong organizational and cleanliness habits.
6. Punctuality and a solid work ethic.
7. Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and changing priorities.
8. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
9. Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
10. Basic computer skills for operating scanning devices and tracking orders.
