Transform the everyday with us!

Trayer, a Siemens business, is seeking an experienced Order Management & Planning Professional to support integrated order execution and production planning across its Livermore and San Leandro operations. Reporting to the Order Management & Planning Manager, this role helps ensure customer orders move through the factory with clear visibility, disciplined follow-up, and strong cross-functional coordination. We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where priorities can shift and strong follow-through is essential.

The position plays an important role in aligning customer demand, material readiness, engineering inputs, and production schedules to support reliable delivery performance. This individual will work across functions to track milestones, identify risks early, maintain planning accuracy, and help drive timely resolution of execution issues. This role connects customer demand with factory execution by maintaining planning accuracy, identifying risks early, supporting timely issue resolution, and helping improve delivery performance across both sites.

This hybrid Order Management & Planning Professional role will be based in either San Leandro or Livermore, CA. Local candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The East Bay offers an excellent quality of life with top-rated schools, a pleasant climate, and easy access to both mountains and the coast. Plus, your compensation goes further here with a more attainable cost of living compared to other parts of the San Francisco Bay Area. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

You’ll make a difference by:
  • Coordinate order execution activities from order release through production, shipment readiness, and delivery preparation. Coordinate order changes, planning updates, and execution status communication across the relevant parties.
  • Maintain clear visibility of order status, key milestones, open issues, and execution risks to support reliable delivery performance. Maintain accurate planning files, dashboards, trackers, and system data to support schedule visibility and execution control.
  • Partner across Production, Engineering, Materials, Logistics, Quality, Sales, and Customer Service to remove barriers, resolve issues, and keep orders progressing on schedule.
  • Support production planning and scheduling activities to help maintain realistic and executable factory plans. Help align priorities, schedules, and order sequencing based on customer requirements, material readiness, factory constraints, and engineering inputs.
  • Track readiness factors affecting execution, including engineering release, material availability, technical preparation, inspection readiness, and other production dependencies.
  • Support delivery date maintenance and execution commitments based on actual order readiness and current factory conditions. Call out delivery risks, readiness gaps, and unresolved issues in a timely and structured manner.
  • Support recovery efforts for urgent, late, or high-risk orders as business needs require.
  • Contribute to improved planning discipline, execution visibility, and cross-functional coordination with both sites.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in order management, production planning, operations coordination, supply chain execution, production control, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of production planning, scheduling, order tracking, delivery coordination, and manufacturing execution constraints.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a factory or industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain detail accuracy, and drive follow-up across different stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and execution tracking tools.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using planning files, dashboards, or trackers to manage order and schedule visibility.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Ability and willingness to support work across Livermore and San Leandro sites as business needs require.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience in switchgear, electrical equipment, or other engineered-to-order manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with technical product structures, engineering release dependencies, and their impact on manufacturing execution.
  • Experience with SAP in order management, planning, production control, or related factory execution processes.
  • Experience in customer-facing order coordination, delivery follow-up, or plant-side execution communication.
  • Familiarity with BOM-driven, revision-controlled, or high-mix manufacturing environments.
  • Exposure to capacity planning, master scheduling, readiness coordination, or backlog recovery processes.
  • Experience with Salesforce-based tools, CRM platforms, or customer order visibility systems.
