Job summary

Cherokee Federal in Twentynine Palms, CA is seeking an Order Filler to perform warehousing tasks including receiving, storing, issuing and shipping gear and equipment. This full-time role offers a starting salary range of $24K-$44K with benefits.

You will pack and ship items, process customer orders, manage inventory accuracy, and support public affairs projects as needed. Attention to detail, good time-management and the ability to obtain forklift certification are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience including packing, shipping and inventory control.
• Clear written and oral communication skills are required.
• Detail-oriented with good time management and workflow discipline.
• Must be able to obtain forklift safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehousing activities: receiving, storing, issuing, reconstitution, inventorying, and shipping gear.
• Pack and ship PGI material accurately, process customer orders, and track inventory.
• Support public affairs consultants as project leads for environmental communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Order Filler: $24K- $44K
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Order Filler Responsibilities Include

• Perform a full range of warehousing activities, to include, but not limited to, receiving, storing, issuing, reconstitution, inventorying, and shipping bulk and individual gear and equipment.
• Conducts the accurate packing and shipping of PGI material.
• Receiving and filling customer orders.
• Picking merchandise from warehouse shelves, packing merchandise, checking packed merchandise against orders for accuracy, and keeping track of inventory and shipments.
• Support public affairs consultants serving as project leads for various environmental-focused communication projects.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  

Order Filler Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities Requested

• Minimum of 1 year experience in performing warehouse duties, such as packing, shipping, receiving, filling customer orders, picking merchandise from warehouse shelves, packing merchandise, checking packed merchandise against orders for accuracy, and keeping track of inventory and shipments.
• Demonstrate written and oral communication skills.
• Must be detailed-oriented, demonstrate good time-management skills and manage workload with minimal oversight
• The ability to obtain forklift safety certification
• The ability to pass a drug screen and background check is required.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
