Position Overview

Our team is currently looking for an Order Analyst IV for one of our clients in the Oil & Gas industry.

The Order Analyst’s duties include reviewing and interpreting legal documents, verifying ownership interests, and maintaining accurate records of ownership changes. Additionally, collaborating with various departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze and interpret title documents, conveyances, leases, and contracts to confirm and establish ownership for non-operated wells.
2. Review and process division of interest (DOI) decks provided by third-party operators for accuracy.
3. Maintain ownership records in land and revenue systems; update records as needed due to title changes, assignments, or other ownership transfers.
4. Collaborate with internal teams (Revenue Accounting, Land, Legal) to resolve discrepancies or inquiries regarding ownership, pay status, and revenue allocations.
5. Monitor and respond to communications from outside operators regarding DOI updates, suspense issues, and revenue discrepancies.
6. Process ownership changes due to transfers, estate settlements, or legal proceedings.
7. Support audits and regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring accurate and timely recordkeeping.
8. Participate in special projects related to acquisitions, divestitures, or system upgrades.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills):

• Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Business, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3+ years of experience in Division Order or Land Administration.
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas title principles and land/legal documentation.
• Familiarity with non-operated properties and third-party operator communication practices.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in land and revenue software (e.g., Quorum, Excalibur, or similar).
