Job summary

Swissport is seeking a Ramp Supervisor in Chicago to efficiently manage ramp activities, ensuring a safe, high-quality operation and strong customer service. This role leads daily ramp operations, coaches staff, and maintains safety standards to minimize injuries and damages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years Ramp Supervisor experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Ramp Operations.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Leadership ability.
• Customer focus and quality awareness.
• Ability to deal with conflict.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities at the station to reduce injuries, aircraft and equipment damage.
• Accountable for daily ramp operations.
• Maintain and improve safety and quality standards with customers and airport authorities.
• Manage and control all staff assignments.
• Hold daily briefings with all levels of management.
• Provide support to front line management.
• Coach and train employees to improve operations.
• Ensure workforce adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

To efficiently and profitably manage and direct ramp activities by providing a safe, quality product covering a range of ground handling services to its customers.

The expected pay rate is $72,000 - $85,000 annually. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.
