Qualifications

• 5–7 years as an IT Business Analyst in Trading/Energy/Financial markets.
• Hands-on experience with Orchestrade or another ETRM platform.
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle and risk reporting.
• Experience working with Front Office and Risk stakeholders.
• Ability to write clear Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and functional specs.
• Familiar with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements from users.
• Enhance Orchestrade functionalities and trading workflows.
• Perform gap analysis between processes and business needs.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver functional specifications.
• Perform UAT planning, execution, and functional validation.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with Orchestrade experience to join our Energy & Trading consulting practice. You will work with one of our major clients in the energy trading sector to support the enhancement and expansion of their Orchestrade ETRM platform, used across Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, and Back Office teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with trading, risk, and operations users to gather and document business requirements
• Enhance and configure Orchestrade functionalities and trading workflows
• Perform gap analysis between current processes and business needs
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver functional specifications
• Perform UAT planning, execution, and functional validation
• Analyze system issues and act as point of contact for production support
• Create functional documentation and process flow diagrams

Qualifications

• 5–7 years as an IT Business Analyst in Trading / Energy / Financial markets
• Hands-on experience with Orchestrade oranother ETRM platform (Endur, Allegro, RightAngle, etc.)
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle and risk/P&L reporting
• Experience working with Front Office and Risk stakeholders
• Ability to write clear Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and functional specs
• Familiar with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence)

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of North American power and gas markets (ISO/RTO: ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO, NYISO)
• Familiarity with market data, pricing curves, VaR
• SQL or data analysis exposure is a plus
• Experience in ETRM system migration or upgrade projects
