Job summary

Talan, based in Houston, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with Orchestrade experience to join our Energy & Trading consulting practice. You will work with a major client in the energy trading sector to support the enhancement and expansion of their Orchestrade ETRM platform across Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, and Back Office teams.

The role involves requirements gathering, configuring Orchestrade workflows, gap analysis, UAT planning, production support, and creating functional

Qualifications

• 5–7 years as an IT Business Analyst in Trading / Energy / Financial markets.
• Hands-on experience with Orchestrade or another ETRM platform (Endur, Allegro, RightAngle, etc.)
• Strong understanding of trade lifecycle and risk/P&L reporting
• Experience working with Front Office and Risk stakeholders
• Ability to write clear BRD and functional specs
• Familiar with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence)

Responsibilities

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of North American power and gas markets (ISO/RTO: ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO, NYISO)
• Familiarity with market data, pricing curves, VaR
• SQL or data analysis exposure is a plus
• Experience in ETRM system migration or upgrade projects
