Job summary

The National Opera Center is seeking a Manager of Orchestra Operations & Personnel to serve as the primary management representative for the Washington National Opera Orchestra. You will oversee day-to-day administration, musician contracting, scheduling, payroll, budgeting, and AFM negotiations, partnering with multiple departments to ensure successful productions.

This role requires strong collaboration across Artistic Planning, Music, Production, Finance, HR, Legal, and Artist Services, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Music or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–7 years in orchestra management or performing arts administration.
• Experience administering AFM collective bargaining agreements.
• Experience with payroll, contracts and budgets.
