Job summary

Mr Apple Careers is seeking an Orchard Foreman to lead daily orchard operations, coach a high-performing team, and ensure safety and quality across production of premium apples.

You'll work hands-on with experienced professionals, implement husbandry programmes, and drive continuous improvement in a values-led, collaborative environment.

• Experience in large-scale horticulture and orchard operations.
• Proven ability to coach and supervise team members.
• Knowledge of orchard technologies and systems.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

As an Orchard Foreman, you’ll pay an important role in producing premium apples while leading and motivating a high-performing team. You’ll be hands-on in daily operations, working closely with experienced professionals in a collaborative environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and coordinate daily orchard operations to maximise efficiency and quality outcomes
• Implement orchard husbandry programmes as directed by the Orchard Manager
• Ensure all orchard activities comply with relevant legislation
• Supervise, motivate, and develop orchard staff, fostering a high-performing team culture

• Proven experience in large-scale horticulture and orchard operations
• Confident in coaching and supervising team members
• Strong knowledge of orchard technologies and systems
• Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills
• Familiarity with machine operation and maintenance
• Knowledge of pest control, disease management, and chemical use
