About the Role

Steel & O’Brien is looking for an Orbital Welder to join our Data Center Cooling team in Arcade. You’ll set up, program, and operate orbital welding equipment to produce high-quality, precise welds that meet engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys detailed, hands-on work, can follow tight tolerances, and works well with engineers, technicians, and production teammates in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

• Set up, program, and operate orbital welding equipment to complete high-quality welds.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, welding symbols, and welding specifications.
• Inspect materials and completed welds to confirm they meet industry standards and project requirements.
• Maintain and calibrate welding equipment for reliable performance.
• Follow safety protocols and workplace best practices to prevent hazards.
• Work with engineers, technicians, and team members to support precise, efficient work.
• Perform quality checks and document welding work.
• Troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues.
• Help develop designs for welding projects.
• Use a variety of tools and equipment.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by a supervisor or management.

Salary Range: $20/hr-$26/hr
