Job summary

Staffmark is hiring an Orbital Welder in Manor, TX. The role involves precision orbital welding of stainless steel components in a Class 100 cleanroom, using TIG/MIG processes.

You will set up and maintain welding cells, read blueprints, and ensure quality while meeting daily production goals. Requires a minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience or technical training; orbital welding experience is preferred and familiarity with weld heads, power supplies, and inspection tools is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision orbital welding on stainless steel assemblies 1/8 to 3 diameter in Class 100 cleanroom.
• Set up, operate, and maintain orbital welding cells and fabrication equipment.
• Read blueprints, weld specs, and production orders to complete assemblies accurately.
• Inspect finished welds for quality and cleanliness compliance.
• Complete production documentation and nonconformance records.
• Label, package components per customer and quality requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding and cleanroom equipment.
• Meet daily production goals while following safety and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement and assist with additional manufacturing duties.

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule: 2nd shift, 2:00PM-11:00 PM Monday - Friday

First-week orientation and safety training on 1st shift (7:00 AM-4:00 PM).

Job Duties

• Perform precision orbital welding on stainless steel assemblies ranging from 1/8 to 3 diameter in a Class 100 cleanroom environment.
• Set up, operate, and maintain orbital welding cells, tooling, and fabrication equipment.
• Read blueprints, weld specifications, and production orders to complete assemblies accurately.
• Inspect finished welds and products to ensure compliance with quality and cleanliness standards.
• Complete production documentation, labor reporting, and nonconformance records.
• Clean, label, and package components according to customer and quality requirements.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on welding and cleanroom equipment.
• Meet daily production goals while following all workplace safety procedures and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement efforts and assist with additional manufacturing duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience or advanced technical training.
• Previous orbital welding experience preferred.
• Experience with TIG and/or MIG welding on stainless steel components highly desired.
• Familiarity with orbital weld heads, power supplies, measuring tools, clamps, and quality inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
• Basic computer and math skills required.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping.
• Lift up to 25 lbs. independently and heavier items with assistance.
• Good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and visual acuity required.
• Must be able to use hands, arms, and fingers for precision assembly and welding tasks.
• Ability to wear required PPE and work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
