Job summary

Steico Industries, Inc. is seeking an Orbital Weld Prep Operator for the AM shift (Mon-Thu, 5:00AM–3:30PM). Pay ranges from $18.00 to $19.00 per hour based on experience. No experience required; training provided on welding and prep processes for stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel fittings.

You will fabricate and weld tubing assemblies, read blueprints, use calipers and laser vision systems, and ensure safety and quality standards are met in a fast-paced aerospace-focused environment.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training on process and equipment will be provided.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication of tube assemblies using saws, end finishers and hand tools.
• Use calibrated measuring equipment to ensure parts meet blueprints.
• Pre-Weld cleaning/prepping of tubes and fittings with Buffers and hand tools.
• Read and understand blueprints and customer data.
• Tack weld fittings using TIG welder and fixtures for proper rotation.
• Set up orbital weld machine with tooling and qualified schedule.
• Perform orbital welding with automatic equipment.
• Visually inspect welds to customer requirements with optical tools.
• Maintain 5S and safety requirements; perform preventative maintenance.
