Job summary

OMS360 in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Surgical Assistant to support oral surgeons during procedures and manage pre- and postoperative care with a focus on patient comfort and safety.

You will prepare patients, sterilize instruments, assist with radiographs and CT scans, maintain supplies, document chart notes, and ensure strict compliance with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines in a clinical setting. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• RDA certification preferred; DAANCE preferred.
• Experience in dental/oral surgery settings.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for consultations.
• Keep patients focused on treatment and concerns.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments; clean operatory per guidelines.
• Complete radiographs and CT scans efficiently.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supplies in each operatory.
• Instruct patients on pre/postoperative care.
• Record patient charting and surgeon notes in the digital chart.
• Maintain OSHA/HIPAA compliance and best practices.
• Oversee sedation processes and IV supplies as needed.
• Record drugs/vitals before and after surgery.
• Escort sedated patients out after surgery.
• Assist front office staff when necessary.
• Assist with tracking implant supplies.
