Job summary

Align Oral Surgery in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support oral surgery and orthodontic procedures across multiple San Antonio offices, with occasional coverage in the Austin area.

You will assist chairside, set up and sterilize rooms, manage labs and scheduling, while providing patient comfort and ensuring HIPAA/OSHA compliance.

We offer $22–$27/hour, full benefits, mileage reimbursement, and a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional Saturday planning.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RDA certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Comfort with dental software, charting and digital X-rays (Open Dental experience is a plus).
• Oral surgery chairside experience and ortho experience are a plus.
• iTero scanning, Invisalign, or implant surgery assisting is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assisting chairside with oral surgery and orthodontic procedures.
• Setting up, cleaning, and sterilizing treatment rooms between patients.
• Managing lab cases and checking incoming work.
• Helping patients feel at ease and booking their next visit.

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) – Oral Surgery & Orthodontics | $22–$27/hr Align Oral Surgery · San Antonio, TX · Full-time

We're Align Oral Surgery, a dental group with 10 offices across San Antonio and Austin, and we'd love to welcome a new RDA to our specialty team. This is a permanent, full-time role, and we're looking for someone to build with for the long haul.

Most RDAs spend years in the same chair, the same room, with the same team. Not here! You'll support several of our San Antonio offices, which means:

• More cases: a wider range of procedures than most assistants see in years
• More providers: you'll work alongside different doctors and keep learning

• Less routine: a change of scenery keeps every week fresh

Most of your travel will be short drives between our San Antonio-area offices, with occasional coverage at our Austin-area location. Mileage between sites is fully reimbursed. If working in the same room every day sounds a little boring, this role could be a great fit.

Position Requirements

A day in the life

• Assisting chairside with oral surgery and orthodontic procedures
• Getting treatment rooms set up, cleaned, and sterilized between patients
• Managing lab cases and checking incoming work
• Helping patients feel at ease and getting their next visit booked before they head out
• Keeping everyone safe by following infection control, HIPAA, and OSHA protocols

What you'll bring

• Active Texas RDA certification
• Current BLS certification
• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Comfort with dental software, charting, and digital X-rays (Open Dental experience is a plus)
• Bonus points if you have (but we're happy to train the right person)
• Oral surgery chairside experience, including supply and implant ordering
• Ortho experience with fixed appliances (brackets, bands, straight wire)
• iTero scanning, Invisalign, or implant surgery assisting
