Job summary

Texas Dental and Braces PLLC is seeking an RDA 1 or RDA 2 to join Schertz Dental Group. This part-time role supports dentists and hygienists in a fast-paced clinic, delivering chairside assistance, radiographs, and patient care. You’ll work with a supportive team in a modern, tech-driven clinic and have opportunities for growth as you gain experience.

  • Leadership mindset a plus (eagerness to train, mentor, and support newer assistants as an RDA 2).

Responsibilities

  • Chairside Excellence: Partner closely with our dentists and hygienists during a wide variety of preventive, restorative, and specialty procedures.
  • Operatory Prep & Flow: Prepare, organize, and break down treatment rooms, instruments, and materials to keep appointments running effortlessly on time.
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Capture high-quality digital radiographs quickly and safely.
  • Patient Support: Be the friendly, reassuring face that makes patients feel comfortable, informed, and truly cared for before, during, and after treatment.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain top-tier sterilization, infection control, HIPAA, and OSHA standards to keep our clinic safe and spotless.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure clinical charting, treatment plans, consent forms, and patient notes are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Lab & Case Management: Help track lab cases and keep clinical supplies and operations seamlessly organized.
  • Team Collaboration: Bring energy and support to daily huddles, team meetings, and help guide or mentor newer teammates (RDA 2 level).

What We’re Looking For
  • Active Texas RDA certification
  • 0 to 5+ years of dental assisting experience (Entry-level RDA 1 and Experienced RDA 2 positions open)
  • Strong chairside skills and clean clinical flow
  • Confident taking dental X-rays
  • Solid grasp of sterilization and infection control protocols
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and patient-focused with strong communication
  • Comfortable in a busy, fast-paced clinical environment
  • Leadership mindset a plus (eagerness to train, mentor, and support newer assistants as an RDA 2)
