Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid X-ray license is required.
• Previous experience as a dental assistant, particularly in Oral Surgery, is highly desirable.
• Discharge experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety measures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
• Proficiency in dental software and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment room, ensure cleanliness and equipment.
• Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments.
• Set up equipment including suction devices, chairs, X-ray machines, lights.
• Assist Oral Surgeons during procedures, anticipating needs and providing instruments and materials.
• Maintain sterile environment and follow infection control protocols.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and comfort during surgery.
• Handle waste and hazardous materials per safety regulations.
• Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with staff.
• Manage patient records, billing, and insurance documentation.
