You will support the Dentist and team, ensuring excellent patient care from arrival through post-operative care, while maintaining a calm, compassionate, and efficient patient experience.

The role emphasizes instrument preparation, sterile technique, vitals monitoring, and clear patient communication.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as an oral surgery assistant.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Well-organized and reliable.
• High school diploma.
• Certificate from an accredited surgical assistant program (if required by law).
• Active state radiology license (if required by law).

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical area, instruments, and equipment before each procedure.
• Assist the surgeon during procedures by anticipating needs and providing help as required.
• Keep surgical areas and instruments clean and sterilized.
• Monitor and record patient vitals and ensure comfort and safety.
• Prepare and provide post-operative instructions and materials.
• Help maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager.
• Coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.
