Job summary

Capitol Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery - Concord is seeking a Surgical Assistant to support the Dentist and ensure a top-tier patient experience. You will prepare the surgical area, assist during procedures, sterilize instruments, monitor vitals, and provide post-operative guidance to patients in a fast-paced specialty practice.

You should bring at least 1 year of oral surgery assistant experience, knowledge of dental instruments, and a strong commitment to safety and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ year(s) of experience as an oral surgery assistant.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks.
• Excellent communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical area, instruments, and equipment before each procedure.
• Assist the surgeon during procedures by anticipating needs and assisting as required.
• Keep surgical areas and instruments clean and sterilized.
• Monitor and record patient vitals and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare and provide post-operative instructions and materials to patients.
• Help maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager.
