Job summary

Carolinas Center for Oral & Facial Surgery in Denver, NC is hiring an Oral Surgery Assistant I to support surgeons during minor procedures, prepare instruments, and maintain sterile fields. This full-time technical role offers training, supervision, and opportunities to grow within a dynamic team.

Responsibilities include setting up for procedures, assisting during operations, completing EMR entries, and helping with radiographs and other clinical tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of approved nitrous oxide course.
• Anesthesia-related continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Set up for non-sterile & sterile procedures under supervision with instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist surgeon during minor surgical procedures including suctioning, retracting, passing instruments, and providing airway support under supervision until core competencies are met.
• Circulates on surgical procedures, completing EMR entries, paperwork, logs, etc.
• Performs other procedures as directed (capture radiographs, take dental impressions, intraoral scans, remove splints, etc.).
