Nu Image in Durham, NC, a dental surgery practice, seeks a Surgical Assistant to join our team. You will assist with consultations, treatments, surgical prep, instrument sterilization, and patient care, ensuring safety and comfort.

Requirements include at least 1 year chairside assisting in oral surgery or periodontics, CPR/BLS, X-ray certification; IV certification preferred. We offer a collaborative, growth-focused environment with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of chairside assisting experience in oral surgery or periodontics.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification is required.
• X-ray Certification is required.
• IV Certification is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist with consultations, treatments, and surgical preparations.
• Take diagnostic x-rays and ensure proper instrument sterilization.
• Prepare and maintain surgical operatories.
• Monitor vital signs and provide chairside assistance during procedures.
• Accurately chart and document procedures and patient interactions.
• Coordinate with referring providers to ensure surgical safety.
• Provide clear post-operative instructions and follow-up care.
• Maintain CPR/BLS certification and emergency preparedness.
• Manage surgical supplies and maintain inventory.
