Job summary

Kids Care Dental And Orthodontics is seeking an Oral Surgery Assistant to join a fun, kid-centered team in Northern California. You will assist the surgeon, prepare treatment areas, take x-rays, and help with post-operative care while upholding HIPAA and OSHA standards.

The role requires at least 2+ years in an oral surgery setting, a DA certificate, and an active RDA license; OMS A certification and ACLS are a plus. A positive attitude and excellent customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2+ years in an oral surgery office.
• DA Certificate required.
• Current and active state certified RDA license preferred.
• OMS A certified is a plus.
• ACLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment area for patient by following procedures and protocols.
• Prepare patient for surgery by welcoming, comforting and seating patient.
• Assist the doctor during treatment procedures.
• Assist in the recovery of patients.
• Perform dental infection control procedures.
• Take x-rays.
• Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
• Hand off patient at check-out and provide post-op instructions.
• Maintain HIPAA/OSHA compliance and a clean, safe environment.
