Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a dental assistant, especially in Oral Surgery is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, instruments, and materials.

Responsibilities

Oral Surgery Assistant / Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent chair-side clinical support to Doctors and Hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
  • Record and review patient health history, make chart entries, and ensure completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
  • Review the daily schedule to prepare appropriate trays and instruments.
  • Prepare patients, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, maintain asepsis, and assist during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
  • Expose and develop dental diagnostic radiographs.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and safety requirements, including HIPAA compliance, CPR, X-rays, and other certifications.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid X-ray license is highly preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience as a dental assistant, especially in Oral Surgery, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of oral surgery procedures, instruments, and materials.
  • Familiarity with infection control protocols and safety measures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in dental software and computer literacy.

Additional Information

  • Pay rate: $22-28 per hour, with bonus opportunities.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, with possible Saturdays.
