Job summary

Risas Dental and Braces in Phoenix, AZ seeks an Oral Surgeon for a full-scope OMFS role at our Desert Sky location. Expect IV and conscious sedation, plus implants and complex extractions in a high-volume practice. Schedule is 12–16 days per month with full flexibility to fit your private practice.

There is no buy-in; you walk in and operate. You’ll join a supportive team with an established patient base and modern facilities, serving a diverse community in West Phoenix.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD with OMFS residency completed.
• Active Arizona dental license (or eligible).
• Current DEA registration and Arizona sedation permit (or pursuing).
• Comfortable running a busy surgical schedule and leading a chairside team.

Responsibilities

• IV sedation and conscious sedation cases.
• Surgical extractions, including impacted third molars.
• Implants.
• Complex extractions, alveoloplasty, and pre-prosthetic surgery.
• Pathology, biopsies, and OMFS in outpatient setting.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a full-scope oral surgery role. The bulk of the work centers on:

• IV sedation and conscious sedation cases

• Surgical extractions, including impacted third molars

• Implants

• Complex extractions, alveoloplasty, and pre-prosthetic surgery

• Pathology, biopsies, and the broader scope of OMFS within an outpatient setting

You bring the hands. We bring the patients, the staff, the instruments, the assistants, and the back-office.

Who We're Looking For

• DDS or DMD - we welcome both oral surgeons (completed OMFS residency) and surgically trained general dentists (GPR/AEGD residency or documented chairside surgical volume: extractions, surgical extractions, bone grafting, and implant placement)

• Active Arizona dental license (or eligible and willing to obtain)

• Current DEA registration and Arizona sedation permit (or actively pursuing)

• Comfortable running a busy surgical schedule and leading a chairside team

• Patient-first mindset - Risas serves a diverse, underserved community, and bedside manner matters here

Oral surgeons and general dentists with strong surgical experience are both encouraged to apply.
