Job Title: Oral Surgeon (Part-Time)

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Oral Surgeon to join a multidisciplinary dental care team in Brooklyn. This role involves providing specialized surgical dental services with a focus on patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will be proficient in surgical techniques, including implant placement, bone grafting, sinus lifts, and tooth extractions. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform oral surgical procedures, including extractions, bone grafting, and implant placements.
• Conduct comprehensive oral examinations and interpret diagnostic images and periodontal assessments.
• Design and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the dental team.
• Utilize advanced techniques to ensure patient comfort and successful outcomes.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to general dentistry staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Stay current with advancements in surgical technologies and techniques.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
• Active New York State dental license with credentials in Oral Surgery.
• Strong surgical background with demonstrated expertise in implant dentistry, sinus lifts, and bone grafting.
• Ability to develop surgical guides and plan implant procedures.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems; experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in community-based healthcare or underserved populations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and collaborative practice.
• Willingness to travel locally, including potential weekly travel to Albany.
