Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) seeks an intermittent Oral Surgeon to join its Juneau team. The new three-story clinic will offer pediatric dentistry, orthodontics and general dentistry, with two dental assistants planned. The role includes general and implant surgeries, with modern equipment and support staff.

New graduates are welcome. Alaska license or US state license required, BLS/ACLS/PALS; compensation includes a guaranteed hourly rate of $350 and

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited university.
  • Active license in the State of Alaska or another US state.
  • Board-certified OMFS.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
  • New graduates welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Administer general and local anesthetics and manage pain control.
  • Collaborate with residents and other dental professionals on treatment plans.
  • Evaluate wisdom teeth positioning and future risks.
  • Perform surgery to prepare the mouth for implants and tissue regeneration.
  • Remove impacted or non-restorable teeth and treat oral infections.

We are seeking anintermittent Oral Surgeon to join its established and collegial team inJuneau, Alaska. Outfitted with the latest dental technology, the clinic isdesigned to provide high‑quality, comprehensive oral healthcare in asupportive and friendly environment. This role offers the opportunity to workalongside experienced dental professionals who are passionate about servingthe unique needs of families in Southeast Alaska.

With plans to build a third critical-access hospital in Haines. Inaddition to the dozens of established outpatient clinics and travelingclinics throughout the region.

Compensation:

GuaranteedW2 Hourly Rate: $350.00. SEARHC will pay for roundtrip airfare, lodging, andground transportation.

PracticeDetails:

Schedule:1-2 weeks/monthly blocks available.

New,modern clinic facility: Featuring twelve closed operatories with plumbednitrous oxide. There are plans to support each surgeon with two dentalassistants in the near future.

PatientVolume: 12-14 patients per day in clinic. All clinic operatories haveup-to-date A-Dec equipment, digital radiography, and electronic healthrecords. Including Dentrix Enterprise Software and Dexis Radiography.

Procedureopportunities: Administer general and local anesthetics. Administeranesthetics or sedatives to control pain. Collaborate with healthcareprofessionals and especially with Resident Program Director to plan orprovide treatment. Evaluate the position of the wisdom teeth to determinewhether problems exist currently or might occur in the future. Analyzepatient data to determine patient needs or treatment goals. Perform surgeryto prepare the mouth for dental implants, and to aid in the regeneration of deficientbone and gum tissues. Remove impacted, damaged, and non-restorable teeth.Treat infections of the oral cavity, salivary glands, jaws, and neck. Treatacute illnesses, infections, or injuries. Remove tumors and other abnormalgrowths of the oral and facial regions, using surgical instruments.

DDSor DMD degree from an accredited University.

ActiveLicense in the State of Alaska or another US State. Alaska license preferred.

BoardCertified OMFS.

BLS,ACSL, PALS required
