Job summary

Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) seeks a Pediatric Dentist to join its new Children’s Dental Clinic in Juneau. You will provide comprehensive oral care for children, working with a team of dentists and dental assistants, and participate in outreach clinics across rural Alaska.

SEARHC offers a modern facility and a competitive package, including a $35,000 sign-on bonus, $25,000 relocation, loan reimbursement, CE allowance, and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited program.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligible for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
  • Active Dental Practice license in Alaska or another US state; Alaska license renewal paid for by SEARHC.
  • BLS required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care in a clinic setting.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of dental professionals.
  • Participate in outreach clinics across Southeast Alaska to serve rural communities.
  • Support patient education and preventative care for children and families.

We are seeking afull‑time Pediatric Dentist to join its established and collegial team at ourChildren’s Dental Clinic. Outfitted with the latest pediatric dentaltechnology, the clinic is designed to provide high‑quality, comprehensiveoral healthcare in a supportive and child‑friendly environment. This roleoffers the opportunity to work alongside experienced dental professionals whoare passionate about serving the unique needs of children and families inSoutheast Alaska.

Thenew three-story dental clinic is scheduled to begin serving the Juneaucommunity in February 2027. The facility will offer Pediatric Dentistry,Orthodontics and General Dentistry services, along with visiting specialists.

Thenew $300 million Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center opened in Sitka, April 2026 andin 2021 we opened the $30 million Wrangell Medical Center, located inWrangell. With plans to build a third critical-access hospital in Haines. Inaddition to the dozens of established outpatient clinics and travelingclinics throughout the region.

Compensationsalary: $320,000 -$360,000 based on years of experience.

Financialincentives: $35,000 Sign-On Bonus and $25,000 relocation assistance withthree-year commitment.

Schedule& Work-Life Balance:

ClinicSchedule: Full-time: Four-day work week with no call responsibilities.

TravelingClinic: Six to Eight times annually, this role also offers the unique chanceto participate in outreach clinics throughout Southeast Alaska, deliveringessential dental services to rural and underserved communities while making ameaningful impact on the oral health of Alaska Native and Southeast Alaskapopulations.

GenerousTime Off: 264 hours of PTO annually and 80 additional hours for continuingeducation.

PracticeDetails:

New,modern clinic facility: Featuring nine chairs with private, closedoperatories, and plumbed nitrous oxide. The space is designed withkid-friendly murals and artwork, and there are plans to support each dentistwith two dental assistants in the near future.

PatientVolume: 16-24 pediatric patients per day in clinic. All clinic operatorieshave up-to-date A-Dec equipment, digital radiography, and electronic healthrecords. Including Dentrix Enterprise Software and Dexis Radiography.

Procedureopportunities: Full spectrum of treatment options, from minimally invasivedentistry to traditional restorative dentistry, and full mouth dental rehabcases in the OR.

Qualifications:

DDSor DMD degree from an accredited program.

BoardCertification or Board Eligible for the American Academy of PediatricDentistry.

ActiveDental Practice license in state of Alaska or another US state. Renewal ofAlaska license paid for by SEARHC.
