Job summary

Houston Oral Surgery and Implant Center in Houston, Texas is actively seeking a Full-Time Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our established practice. You will partner directly with Dr. Sean Kim in a premier setting known for clinical excellence and advanced technology.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
  • Completion of an accredited Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, including diagnosis and treatment of mouth, jaws, face, and neck.
  • Perform routine and surgical tooth extractions, including impacted third molars.
  • Place dental implants and perform full-arch implant rehabilitation (All-on-X).
  • Administer IV sedation and anesthesia per regulations.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans and educate patients on options, risks, and post-operative care.
  • Collaborate with referring dentists, orthodontists, physicians, and other providers.

Education

DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Texas dental license
Current DEA registration
Texas anesthesia permit (or ability to obtain)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

Provide the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, including:

  • Diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the mouth, jaws, face, and neck
  • Routine and surgical tooth extractions, including impacted third molars
  • Dental implant placement
  • Full-arch implant rehabilitation (All-on-X)
  • Implant-supported prosthetic procedures
  • Bone grafting and sinus augmentation
  • Oral pathology and biopsy procedures
  • Management of oral infections
  • Facial trauma treatment, as applicable
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Administer IV sedation and anesthesia in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans and educate patients on treatment options, risks, and post-operative care
  • Collaborate closely with referring dentists, orthodontists, physicians, and other healthcare providers
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
  • Uphold the highest standards of patient safety, ethics, and professionalism
Qualifications
  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
  • Completion of an accredited Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
  • Active Texas dental license (or ability to obtain)
  • Current DEA registration
  • Texas anesthesia permit (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong clinical experience with dental implants and advanced surgical procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered care
