Job summary

Clint Newman DDS is seeking an Oral Surgeon to deliver comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical care in a patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate combines exceptional surgical expertise with compassionate patient care and collaborates with referring dentists and the practice team.

Responsibilities include evaluations, diagnoses, implants, bone grafting, anesthesia within licensure, and thorough documentation while upholding high clinical and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program.
  • Current and unrestricted state dental license.
  • Board certification or eligibility through the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical evaluations and consultations.
  • Diagnose oral, dental, and maxillofacial conditions requiring surgical treatment.
  • Perform surgical procedures within the provider's scope of practice and training.
  • Perform tooth extractions, including simple and surgical extractions.
  • Perform impacted wisdom tooth removal.
  • Provide dental implant placement and related surgical procedures, as applicable.
  • Perform bone grafting and other pre-prosthetic surgical procedures, as appropriate.
  • Diagnose and manage oral pathology and other surgical conditions.
  • Provide appropriate anesthesia and sedation within applicable licensure, training, and practice requirements.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and clearly explain treatment options, risks, benefits, and alternatives to patients.
  • Collaborate with general dentists and other dental specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and appropriately manage complications.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation.
  • Follow all applicable infection-control, patient-safety, regulatory, and clinical standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, referring providers, and dental team members.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism, ethics, and patient confidentiality.
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain current clinical knowledge and skills.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused Oral Surgeon to provide comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical care. The Oral Surgeon will diagnose and treat surgical conditions of the mouth, teeth, jaws, and related structures while delivering an exceptional patient experience.

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program.
  • Current and unrestricted state dental license.
  • Board certification or eligibility through the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, as applicable.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Appropriate state and federal registrations required for the administration or prescribing of medications and controlled substances.
  • Strong clinical judgment and surgical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a private practice or multi-location dental environment.
  • Experience collaborating with general dentists and dental specialists.
  • Experience with dental implants, bone grafting, and complex extractions.
  • Experience with IV sedation or other forms of moderate/deep sedation, consistent with applicable training and licensure.
