Job summary

Planet Group, on behalf of its client, seeks an experienced Oracle XStore QA Automation / Techno-Functional Test Lead to support a mission-critical POS environment across pharmacy locations.

The 6-month onsite contract is based in Pleasanton, CA. The ideal candidate will design, develop and maintain automated tests using xUnit within an enterprise application environment, driving regression coverage and continuous delivery.

Qualifications

• Hands-on XStore QA automation experience with xUnit frameworks.
• Experience designing, developing, executing and maintaining automated tests in enterprise apps.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle XStore business processes and POS transactions.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Oracle XStore QA Automation / Techno-Functional Test Lead to support a mission-critical Point of Sale (POS) environment used across pharmacy locations.

6 month contract

Onsite 5 days/wk in Pleasanton, CA

The ideal candidate will bring strong Oracle XStore functional knowledge combined with hands-on QA automation experience, specifically using xUnit frameworks. This is not a role for someone who has only been exposed to xUnit or lists it as a technical skill. The client is specifically looking for a resource who has actively designed, developed, executed, maintained, and troubleshot automated tests using xUnit within an enterprise application environment.

The environment supports approximately four integrated releases annually, along with 15+ regular core maintenance releases per year, requiring extensive functional, integration, automated regression, and end-to-end testing.

Key Details

The successful candidate should have experience:

• Developing and maintaining automated test cases using xUnit-based testing frameworks
• Building reusable automated tests for functional and regression testing
• Executing xUnit automated test suites as part of application releases
• Troubleshooting failed automated tests and determining whether failures are related to application defects, test data, integrations, environments, or automation scripts
• Maintaining automation as application functionality changes
• Using xUnit automation to increase regression coverage and reduce repetitive manual testing
• Incorporating automated testing into Agile development and release cycles
• Working with technical and functional teams to identify appropriate scenarios for automation

Must haves:

• Oracle XStore -- Required
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle XStore / XStore POS
• Understanding of XStore business processes, POS transaction flows, and integrations
• Experience testing XStore functionality across integrated enterprise environments
• Ability to understand how XStore interacts with downstream/upstream applications, databases, and POS devices
• xUnit Test Automation -- Critical Requirement
• Candidates must have demonstrated, hands-on xUnit automation experience. Simply having familiarity with xUnit or listing it on a resume will not meet the requirement.
