Samay Consulting is seeking an Oracle Vertex Consultant to work remotely in the USA on a 6–12 month contract. The role focuses on tax engine configuration, ERP integration, and global tax compliance within Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Vertex environments.

The candidate will drive end-to-end tax solutions, support multi-entity, multi-currency setups, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate tax determinations and reporting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise tax technology, tax engine implementations, financial systems engineering, or ERP tax integrations.
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Vertex configuration, implementation, integration, and production support experience, with the ability to independently deliver solutions with minimal oversight.
• 3+ years of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP experience, including tax determination and integration points across AP, AR, GL, and Oracle Tax.
• Proven experience integrating Vertex or comparable tax engines with enterprise ERP systems, including troubleshooting tax calculation and integration issues.
• Strong knowledge of global indirect taxation, including EU/UK VAT, APAC GST, and US Sales and Use Tax, with hands-on tax configuration experience.
• Experience implementing or supporting global e-invoicing and electronic tax reporting solutions, including government clearance models, post-audit reporting, and country-specific compliance requirements.
• Experience delivering full-cycle ERP or tax technology implementations, including solution design, configuration, SIT/UAT, data migration, cutover, and hypercare.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency environments, legal entity onboarding, SOX controls, and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.

• Experience with Vertex O Series, Oracle Fusion Tax, and Oracle Subledger Accounting (SLA).
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, Boomi middleware, and global e-invoicing platforms such as Sovos or Avalara.
• Experience with rental, leasing, mobility, or transportation-related tax determination and complex cross-border transactions.
