Job summary

Robotic Technologies Automation is seeking a data engineer to analyze and optimize data flows across Alteryx, Oracle SQL, and flat-file reporting. You will consolidate duplicated logic, move suitable processes into database procedures, and build robust, auditable data transformations.

Responsibilities include validating results, reducing redundant ingestion, and documenting mappings, lineage, and business definitions to enable trusted insights for Power BI and downstream reporting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development experience, including stored procedures, complex queries, and data transformation logic.
• Alteryx experience, including the ability to understand and review existing workflows.
• Experience with relational databases and structured datasets.
• Experience transitioning data/processes from flat-file workflows into database structures.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing Alteryx workflows, SQL logic and flat-file reporting processes.
• Develop Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code, including stored procedures that consolidate duplicated logic and implement Alteryx/flat-file transformations within Oracle.
• Determine which Alteryx transformations to retain and which to move into Oracle/database procedures.
• Convert flat-file processes into structured database tables and procedures.
• Validate converted results via record counts, reconciliation, and verification of calculations, filters, rounding, and history.
• Reduce redundant ingestion, processing and transformations across workflows.
• Support customer segmentation and AR reporting workstreams.
• Create historically trackable datasets for trending and future analysis.
• Maintain relationships between datasets for holistic customer analysis.
• Support data consumed by Power BI and downstream reporting.
• Document: source-to-target mappings and data lineage; procedural and transformation logic; calculations, filters, rounding rules; historical tracking and retention logic; data relationships and source locations; business definitions and interpretation of reporting outputs.
