STRATEGIC STAFFING SOLUTIONS (S3) in St. Louis, MO, is seeking an Oracle SQL DBA / Systems Administrator for a 6+ month hybrid W2 contract-to-hire role.

The position focuses on Oracle database management, system upgrades, automation improvements, and supporting Linux-hosted business-critical applications. It involves troubleshooting, performance testing, and documenting procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong Oracle SQL database experience.
• Linux Server Setup and Application Support: ability to build, configure, patch, monitor, and support Linux servers.
• Experience supporting Linux servers hosting business-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform system upgrades.
• Make system changes and enhancements to improve automation.
• Support Oracle-based systems.
• Troubleshoot systems that are not working properly and determine root cause.
• Perform upgrades and enhancements to existing systems.
• Help automate integrations that are currently being performed manually.
• Analyze, design, code, test, configure, and modify software projects, products, and enhancements using various programming languages, technologies, and development methodologies.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and implement application, software, operating system components, tools, and utilities.
• Conduct performance testing.
• Ensure system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to maintain availability and improve efficiency.
• Complete technical documentation related to testing, QA, training, troubleshooting, operating procedures, installation, and maintenance.
