Job summary

Allied Resources Technical Consultants, Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to support enterprise Linux infrastructure, including server administration, clustering, automation, storage, and migrations.

The role requires 6–8 years of Linux/Unix experience with strong RHEL, Oracle Linux, and PCS clustering knowledge, plus Ansible automation and scripting in Bash/Python/Perl. On-site presence is required Tue–Thu with hybrid work and 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

6–8 years of Linux/Unix systems administration experience.
Strong RHEL experience.
Experience with Oracle Linux.
Experience with Linux clustering, preferably Red Hat PCS/Pacemaker/Corosync.
Experience with Ansible and scripting.
Experience with storage technologies such as LVM, ZFS, Veritas, SAN, or NAS.
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work onsite Tuesday--Thursday

Responsibilities

Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Oracle Linux environments
Manage Linux servers, VMware, storage, backups, and system performance
Support Red Hat PCS clustering and high-availability environments
Develop automation using Ansible and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl
Support Linux patching, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure changes
Coordinate technical activities with application teams and infrastructure partners
Troubleshoot complex system issues and lead technical discussions
Participate in an on-call rotation and occasional after-hours maintenance

Location: Baltimore, MD

Schedule: Hybrid -- Tuesday--Thursday onsite

Duration: 6 months with strong potential for extension

Hours: 40 hours/week

Pay: $58--$72/hr 1.5x OT

Overview
