Job summary

MSYS Inc. in Raleigh, NC seeks an Oracle PL/SQL TL and report developer for a long-term, hybrid role. You will design, code, test, debug, and document data interfaces and reports, enhancing existing extracts and dashboards to meet business needs.

You will work with Oracle, PL/SQL scripting, BI tools, and data warehousing concepts, developing complex queries, dashboards, and performance-tuned data solutions while supporting on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle, Oracle Utilities and ETL tools.
• Experience with PL/SQL scripting and relational database modeling.
• Experience with structured system development methodologies.
• Ability to develop relationships/partnerships with customer by responding to needs and exhibiting urgency; independently identify options.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow complex and/or detailed technical procedures.
• Experience with BI tools such as Business Objects or BIRT.
• Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) development.
• Data Warehouse experience.
• Experience with developing dashboards with Power BI and Azure Synapse.
• Familiarity with Amazon RedShift & Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and documenting requirements for new as well as changes to existing data extracts and reports.
• Developing complex queries against big tables storing CLOBS/XML, necessary supporting data structures, and report layouts.
• Writing effective SQL queries that perform well even against large tables.
• Analyzing existing queries and reports and querying data to fix issues and extract data.
• Developing and analyzing operational performance metrics and reports to ensure the quality and integrity of extracts through the use of validation and audit strategies.
• 24x7 On Call support/rotation responsibility

Job Description

This is related to varied business metrics and for designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting data interfaces and reporting solutions, while enhancing existing data extracts and reports to ensure that solutions continue to meet business needs.

Selected candidate must understand the underlying data sources (databases) and interpret requirements provided by the business to analyze operational issues and develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data via reports and dashboards.
