Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Application Developer in Newark, DE on a 12-month contract. Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote; interview in-person.

Candidates will design and update Java/J2EE applications, perform unit testing, support deployments, and evaluate new tech in an Agile team; may interact with clients.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Java/J2EE experience.
• Experience with Spring, Spring Integration, Cassandra, Kafka, MQ, NoSQL, RESTful services, WS-Security.
• Container and cloud experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS and Azure.
• Hands-on with Eclipse, IntelliJ, Splunk, Dynatrace, Autosys.
• UI experience with Angular and React.
• Experience with code quality tools like JUnit, Sonar/Crucible.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and update application code with unit tests.
• Provide development support during testing and deployments.
• Create proof-of-concept studies for new technology evaluation.
• Support deployment and production planning; work in an Agile team with a team lead; may interact with clients.

Job description

Location: Newark, DE/ Day -1 Onsite (Hybrid 3 days office 2 days remote)

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Interview: In-person

Pay Range: $55/hr.; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

Senior Application Developer will be responsible/need to understand business needs and update application code with unit testing, provide dev support during testing, creating proof of concept for new technology evaluation, support application deployment and creating production plan. They will be working on an agile team with a team lead. May have client interactions.

Required Qualifications

• Expertise in Java/J2EE technologies with minimum of 7 year of experience.
• well versed in technologies like Spring, Spring Integration, Cassandra, Kafka, MQ, NOSQL & Restful services, WS-Security,
• Expertise in container & cloud technologies like Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS and Azure
• Hands on experience on tools like Eclipse, IntelliJ, Splunk, Dynatrace & Autosys etc
• Hands on experience in UI technologies like Angular and React
• Hands on experience on Code Quality Tools like JUnit, Sonar/Crucible
• Experience on modern development methodology including Agile
