Cognizant in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Developer to design, develop, test, and implement high‑quality PeopleSoft solutions with a strong focus on HCM, Fluid UI, integrations, and enhancements. You will support the full SDLC and collaborate with technical leads, project managers, and fellow developers to meet project deadlines.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of PeopleSoft development, 3+ years Fluid UI, deep knowledge of PeopleTools, Integration Broker, SQR, and Oracle

Qualifications

• 8+ years of PeopleSoft development experience, including Fluid UI
• Strong knowledge of Fluid UI design principles and responsive design
• Hands-on experience with Event Mapping, WorkCenters, Page Field Configurator, OpenSearch, Search Configuration
• Strong expertise in PeopleTools 8.56+, PeopleCode, Application Designer, Application Engine, SQR, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement custom PeopleSoft processes, reports, and functionality

About the role

We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Developer to design, develop, test, and implement high-quality technical solutions within the PeopleSoft environment. The role will support the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), with a strong focus on PeopleSoft HCM, Fluid UI development, integrations, and technical enhancements.

In this role you will

• Design, develop, test, and implement custom PeopleSoft processes, reports, and functionality using PeopleSoft Fluid UI, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, Component Interfaces, and Integration Broker.
• Develop and maintain Fluid homepages, responsive Fluid UI pages, and layouts to improve the user experience across devices.
• Implement Event Mapping, Drop Zones, Activity Guides, WorkCenters, and other Fluid UI capabilities.
• Develop and maintain integrations between PeopleSoft and third-party applications using Integration Broker, Web Services, APIs, and file-based integrations.
• Create and maintain technical design documents, test plans, and test cases.
• Provide technical support during UAT, troubleshoot application issues, and resolve defects.
• Collaborate closely with technical leads, project managers, developers, and other project team members to meet agreed project deadlines.
• Participate in regular project status meetings and technical discussions.

Work Model: Hybrid to Washington, DC

What you need to have to be considered

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 8+ years of PeopleSoft development experience, including at least 3 years of PeopleSoft Fluid UI development.
• Strong knowledge of Fluid UI design principles and responsive design.
• Hands-on experience with Activity Guides, WorkCenters, Page Field Configurator, OpenSearch, Search Configuration, Event Mapping, and Navigation Collections.
• Strong expertise in PeopleTools 8.56+, PeopleCode, Application Designer, Application Engine, Application Packages, SQR, Component Interfaces, and Integration Broker.
• Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, including Workforce Administration, Compensation, and Benefits Administration.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers within Oracle databases.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and deliver high-quality solutions within established timelines.

These will help you stand out

• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and related web technologies for enhancing PeopleSoft Fluid UI.
• Experience building and supporting complex PeopleSoft integrations, Web Services, and APIs.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $83,250- $112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
