Apex IT is seeking an Oracle HCM Cloud Technical Architect to design, implement, and support Oracle HCM Cloud solutions for diverse clients. You will translate business requirements into scalable technical designs and ensure successful project delivery across remote and on-site environments.

You will lead implementations, manage configurations and data migrations, and stay current with Oracle HCM Cloud releases.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science or related field.
• Extensive experience as a Technical Architect with Oracle HCM Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud modules: Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management, Analytics.

Job Title: Oracle HCM Cloud Technical Architect

Classification: Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

Reports to: President

Work Location/Travel: Work is remote or on-site. Percentage of travel, where the travel occurs, such as locally or in specific countries or states, and whether the travel is overnight, varies. This resource must be willing and able to travel as required by the customer project. This is generally negotiable, but not always, and could be as high as 75%.

Job Summary:

As an Oracle HCM Cloud Technical Architect, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and support of Oracle HCM Cloud solutions for our clients. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical designs and ensuring the successful delivery of Oracle HCM Cloud projects.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with clients and project teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Oracle HCM Cloud technical solutions. Develop architectural designs and strategies to meet client needs and ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.


• Lead the technical implementation of Oracle HCM Cloud solutions, including configuration, customization, integration, data migration, and reporting. Ensure adherence to best practices and standards throughout the implementation process.


• Serve as the subject matter expert on Oracle HCM Cloud technical capabilities, features, and functionalities. Stay up to date with the latest Oracle HCM Cloud releases and updates and provide guidance on how to leverage new features to optimize business processes.


• Design and implement integrations between Oracle HCM Cloud and other enterprise systems, such as ERP, CRM, and third-party applications. Develop and maintain integration interfaces, leveraging Oracle integration technologies and APIs.


• Identify and resolve performance issues within the Oracle HCM Cloud environment. Conduct system performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization activities to ensure optimal system performance and user experience.


• Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams, including developers, administrators, and analysts. Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the organization.


• Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures. Conduct training sessions and workshops to transfer technical knowledge to clients and internal teams.


• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and other technical teams to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business goals. Communicate effectively with clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and address technical concerns.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• May assist with training members of the technical staff.

• Assigns duties and responsibilities and oversees workflow of project staff.


• May conduct project performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

The work environment is remote or on-site at a client location. While remote, employees are expected to provide office space for themselves with a professional background (including virtual backgrounds) and noise level. A reliable and consistent internet connection is required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.


• Bending, sitting, lifting, driving.

Position Type and expected hours of work:

• Full time work during Apex IT business hours and, at times, outside of business hours, if required.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science-related field or commensurate experience required.


• Extensive experience as a Technical Architect, specifically with Oracle HCM Cloud solutions.


• Strong knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud modules and their technical components, including Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management, and Analytics.


• Proficiency in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and other relevant Oracle technologies.


• Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud implementation projects, including configuration, customization, and data migration.


• In-depth understanding of Oracle HCM Cloud security, data model, and reporting capabilities.


• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.


• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with clients at various levels.
