Job summary

Yorkshire Global Solutions Inc. is seeking an Oracle HCM/Reporting Consultant for a 12+ month contract in San Francisco, hybrid with 3 onsite days. You will design OTBI analyses, dashboards, and BI Publisher reports, aligning with ERP/HCM data, security, and governance standards.

You will gather requirements, validate outputs with business stakeholders, and train users to build OTBI reports while ensuring performance and data accuracy across Fusion Cloud modules.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on OTBI analyses, dashboards, and subject areas.
• Proven BI Publisher report development (RTF/Excel/PDF layouts).
• SQL queries, data extraction, joins, aggregations and modeling.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud modules (Finance, HCM, Procurement or EPM).
• Knowledge of data security models and RBAC for reports.

Job Description

Background

The organization is seeking a qualified consultant to support the development of reports across Oracle Cloud ERP and HCM pillars. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and IT team to design, develop, and deliver reporting solutions using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and BI Publisher (BIP).

Objectives:

Enable timely and accurate reporting to support operational and compliance needs by

Discussing business requirements w/ SMEs.

Developing and delivering high-quality OTBI and BI Publisher (BIP) reports

Training business users to develop OTBI reports

Scope of Work

The consultant will:

Conduct functional requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders

Prepare report designs and gather approvals from business stakeholders

Analyze requirements and determine whether OTBI or BIP is the appropriate solution

Design and develop OTBI reports, dashboards, and analyses

Develop custom BI Publisher reports including templates, and layouts

Perform report testing, validation, and troubleshooting

Optimize report performance and ensure data accuracy

Collaborate with functional and technical teams to validate outputs

Provide documentation, knowledge transfer and trainings to staff as needed

Train business users to develop OTBI reports

- Functional requirements and design documentation for reports

- Developed BI Publisher reports (including data models and templates where applicable)

Required Technical Qualifications

Oracle OTBI Expertise

Strong hands-on experience designing and developing Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) analyses, dashboards, and subject areas, including advanced filtering, calculated columns, and drill-down capabilities.

BI Publisher (BIP) Development

Proven experience developing and delivering BI Publisher reports, including:

RTF, Excel, and PDF layouts

Bursting configurations and scheduling

Ability to analyze business requirements and determine the appropriate reporting approach (OTBI vs. BIP), including trade-offs related to performance, real-time vs. batch reporting, and formatting needs.

SQL and Data Modeling Skills

Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, data extraction, joins, aggregations, and query optimization. Solid understanding of relational data models and reporting layer design.

Oracle Fusion Cloud Functional Knowledge

Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud modules, including Finance (ERP), HCM, Procurement (PPM), and/or EPM, with strong understanding of underlying data structures and subject areas.

Deep understanding of Oracle Fusion reporting ecosystem, including:

OTBI subject areas and metadata layers

BI Publisher architecture

Data security models and role-based access controls

Integration with Fusion data sources

Performance Optimization

Experience tuning OTBI and BIP reports for performance, including query optimization, efficient use of subject areas, and minimizing runtime.

Testing & Validation

Experience conducting report validation, reconciliation with source data, troubleshooting discrepancies, and ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

Security & Data Governance

Understanding of role-based security, data access controls, and ensuring reports comply with organizational data governance and audit requirements.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

Ability to produce technical and functional documentation, including report design specifications, data mappings, and user guides.

Training & Enablement

Demonstrated ability to:

Train business users on OTBI self-service reporting

Train IT staff on BI Publisher report development and maintenance

Collaboration & Integration Experience

Experience working with cross-functional teams (business SMEs, functional leads, technical teams) to gather and validate reporting requirements and outputs across integrated systems.

Optional Qualifications:

Familiarity with FBDI/ADFdi data structures and extracts

Experience in public sector or large government ERP programs
