Job Summary
The Oracle Cloud HCM BI, Reporting & Dashboard Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise reporting solutions for Oracle Cloud HCM applications.
The role focuses on creating high-quality reports and dashboards using Oracle BI Publisher (BIP), OTBI, and related analytics tools.
The analyst will collaborate with functional teams to define reporting requirements, build scalable data solutions, troubleshoot issues, and support ongoing maintenance and enhancements. Initial work will prioritize clearing a backlog of reporting requests, followed by long-term optimization and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, administer, and support HCM reports and dashboards using Oracle BI Publisher (BIP) and OTBI.
- Build interactive OTBI dashboards for HR, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and executive leadership.
- Develop complex SQL queries, data templates, and RTF layouts for operational and analytical reporting needs.
- Create role-based dashboards featuring KPIs, drilldowns, prompts, filters, and visualizations.
- Build and manage scheduled, burst, and ad hoc reports with high accuracy and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with functional analysts to gather business reporting requirements and document specifications.
- Troubleshoot data, accuracy, and performance issues across reports and dashboards.
- Support report testing, validation, and fixes during Oracle quarterly updates and HCM enhancements.
- Provide production support through incident management and ticketing systems.
- Maintain a reporting catalog including documentation of metrics, data sources, security mappings, and definitions.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis).
- 5–7 years of experience in Oracle Cloud reporting development, with strong emphasis on BI Publisher.
- Hands-on experience supporting Oracle SaaS applications, especially Oracle Fusion HCM.
- Strong SQL skills with ability to query Oracle Cloud Fusion HCM data models.
- Experience designing dashboards using OTBI and Smart View, including KPIs, prompts, drilldowns, and visualizations.
- Understanding of Oracle Cloud data security and role-based access controls.
- Ability to translate functional requirements into scalable, maintainable reporting solutions.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working in higher education or public-sector environments.
- Familiarity with FERPA, HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks.
- Experience with AI-driven reporting or Python-based automation.
- Familiarity with Oracle EPM integrations.
